West Chester, PA – December 14, 2022 /OrthoSpineNews/ – Altus Spine, a leader in the development and innovation of medical devices used in spinal correction surgery, hosted a successful interactive Open and MIS Lumbar Fusion Bioskills Lab at the 2022 Spine IEP Fellows and Young Surgeons Course in Austin, TX.
This course, developed specifically for Spine and Neuro Fellows and Young Surgeons on current topics on the practice of spine/neurosurgery, is geared to assist with the transition from Fellow to practicing surgeon.
The Altus Team had the opportunity to meet with many fellows and surgeon attendees, and cover the latest advances and innovative products in their dynamic portfolio. To further the attendees’ experience at the course, Altus Spine also hosted a hands-on bioskills lab. Led by Altus Spine’s surgeon faculty members, Bradley Moatz, M.D. and Danny Liang, M.D., the Fundamentals of Open and MIS Lumbar Fusion Bioskills Lab took the attendees through both an Open and an MIS Lumbar Fusion using Altus solutions. From approach, targeting & imaging, decompression, and instrumentation, the attendees had the opportunity to experience both options for this procedure.
The lab attendees had the opportunity to experience an array of Altus Spine’s innovative products including: Valencia MIS Pedicle Screw System, Interlagos Retractor System, Silverstone Titanium IBF System, Posterior Disc Prep Systems and their Monaco Pedicle Screw System.
