Governor Andrew Cuomo said in a press conference on Saturday that New York now has the lowest rate of coronavirus transmission out of every state in the country, as many other states that have begun reopening now see a dramatic spike in new cases.

- “It took us a long time to bring that number down,” Cuomo said. “The numbers are at such a low level that I don’t know if they’ll drop much more.”
